When it comes to wedding photography, St. Petersburg and Clearwater seem to be the obvious choices for destination weddings (thanks to the beautiful beaches and tropical resorts), while for those in the know, the city of Tampa offers its own very distinct flavor and style. Take for example Ybor City – located just north of downtown, this historical district’s architecture has been influenced throughout decades by cigar production industry and Cuban immigrants. Ybor has a unique and distinct feel, and is one of the favorite spots for engagement sessions. Tampa’s downtown, by contrast, is representative of modern style. Urban feel and contemporary architecture make it exciting choice for wedding day or lifestyle photography. And of course the old and cozy South Tampa – with a variety of its distinct neighborhoods, such as Hyde Park, Bayshore, Davis Island, just to name a few – is a unique and fun place to work for any Tampa wedding photographer.
Today I’d like to share with you few of my favorite pictures from Liz and Brandon’s wedding which I had the pleasure of photographing earlier this year. We began at the Embassy Suites hotel in downtown Tampa. Liz’s room happened to have a huge balcony which we managed to use for few nice shots of her dress as well as a couple of nice bridal portraits. Their ceremony took place at the South Tampa Fellowship Church, and after we were done with the formals, the entire bridal party headed to the Fred Ballast Park on Bayshore Boulevard for group pictures. Shooting on Bayshore in South Tampa at sunset is a lot of fun for any Tampa wedding photographer and this time was no exception. The sun was setting down fast but we had good 20 – 30mins before it completely disappeared. We definitely managed to bring home quite a few keepers that night. Reception was at the Embassy Suites, and the set up was magnificent – decoration, lighting, cake and all the details were carefully thought out and perfectly executed, thanks to Liz’s wedding planner Beth Carrick from Flawless Occasion.

Jason Collin - Excellent job with this wedding Vadim. Very sharp and detailed images. Can you tell us how you setup/made the couple on the dance floor shot? The couple is very well lit and there is still a good amount of ambient light too.
Vadim - Thanks Jason! Believe it or not, it was bare on-camera flash pointed straight at them! I couldn’t bounce because it would ruin the ambient, so this was my only option.
Mark Hudson - Excellenet elegant photography,fabulous shots has been taken with perfection.Location used for the ceremony was the best point from the photogaphy point of view.All the pics looks so awsome.Clarity of the pics was too high and gracefully captured.Congrats to the couple.
